RAIL-BOT: Indian Railways Technovation for Corona Warriors



Indian Railways has been standing all the way long during this pandemic to support the local citizens of the nation as well as be a part of the on-going initiatives by the Indian government. Right from the beginning, Railways has provided a lot of aid in easing the mounting pressured due to this pandemic. Starting from preparing masks on large scale to creation of COVID-19 Isolation coaches to running of special “Shramik” trains, It has added a lot of effort in fighting this pandemic.

What’s Unique About R-Bot?


The R-BOT is operated through a unique mobile app that has been developed as part of the innovation, supported by the WiFi facility. The R-BOT supports sensor-based features, which are capable to read patients’ body temperature and transmit the same for display o­n the mobile phone. In case of any abnormal high-temperature reading, the R-BOT is capable of raising an alarm so as to alert the medics attending to the patients.

In view of the promptly spreading coronavirus pandemic and emigrant crisis, the Indian Railways has stepped up special train operations, including superfast/express trains, local trains, and EMU/DMU trains, for the comfort of train passengers. India Announces Free Covid-19 Vaccination For All 18+Years of Age from 1st May 2021

The   Covid-19 Vaccination   third phase drive will open for all Adults 18+ Years from May 1. The Covid-19 vaccination third phase decision was taken during a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday (19 April 2021). Covid vaccination for all adults   18+ years   of age is seen as a major step in controlling the second wave of Corona Virus in which India’s infection tally has reached 15,924,989. Covid-19 (Corona Virus) vaccination will be made available for all Indian peoples above the age of 18 years from May 1 onwards, the health ministry announced on Monday (19 April 2021).
