Railway Budget 2021-22: Aatmanirbhar Bharat Ka Budget | A RailRecipe Report



Railways Budget 2021-22 was finally announced on 01-02-2021(Monday) by Hon’ble Finance Minister of India Dr. Nirmala Sitharaman. In an effort to revive Indian Railways which suffered massive financial losses during Covid 19 outbreak, the proposed budget focuses on allocating Rs.1,10,055 crores on Indian Railways out of which Rs. 1,07,100 crores is marked for capital expenditure. The Finance Minister also envisaged on commissioning of Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridors by June 2022 (which would later be monetized for operations), investment on “Green Railways” projects, management of “Railway Safety fund”, 100% electrification of the broad gauge network by December 2023.  Read More....
