Rajdhani Express all Set to Run with Pull-Push Technology Between Mumbai and Delhi

First Rajdhani Express in India is all set to run with the pull-push technology. As per the Indian railways announcement, it will run between the two major railway stations, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai and Hazrat Nizamuddin station Delhi.

What is Pull-Push Technology in Train?

In this Pull-Push Technology, the Rajdhani Express will run with two engines, where the first one is attached to the front side of the train and the second one is attached to the rear side of the train. The prime motto behind the implementation of this Pull-Push technology is to enhance the speed of the train from both sides. Both the engines work at the same time and provide fast speed to the train so that the journey time gets reduced. Sometimes, in order to change the directions of the train on some particular railway stations and on the ghat section, a new engine needs to be added to the rear side. However, now with this Pull-Push technology, this issue has been fixed.
